I may regret writing about this since he’ll probably be among those making the decision to pull the plug on me someday, but I love this story about D’s rocky road to potty training.

Boys looooove to pee outside. And it’s easier to shoo Lucas over to the bushes then to FIGHT with him to stop playing to go inside, so, meh.
Mom was over the other day and I heard her tell Lucas to “watah der plantz” and then gasp laughing. He chose to pee into the potted plant we bought as a gift for his Nana. No that’s a personalized gift.

My son still loves to pee outside when he can. He’s 6. We’ll be out walking our dog and he’ll be all “mom I have to go and I can’t hold it”. Or when we’re driving he’ll say “mom stop the car I need to pee on the road”. *sigh*
I’m thankful that he pees inside… most of the time.
